Found this rare gem!
It looks like I have a project. A 1965 K15 stepside longbox with optional 292. SM 420, and Rockwell T221. Engine is seized. Transmission and transfer case both shift fairly easily. Clean oil in both with no metal that I can see. It was a miners truck in Merrit BC. I don't think he drove far down the road after lighting the fuse! Dented everywhere, floor is rusted out, but the fenders etc are pretty solid. The truck has been in a field in Langley for 15 years. Pretty rare, it looks like only 513 units built of that type in 65.The PO cut a notch out of the front cross member to make room for the PTO driveshaft. UGHH But ,this thing is so cool. Not sure why the bottom pics went on their side...Oh well. Rick

Thanks, it looks like everything exept the bumpers are original. I’ll post more pics as I get it stripped down. I’d like to keep the PTO and winch but not sure if I can find one with a drop to go under the crossmember, or just keep it as it is. Rick

Yep, you have a project. It will be worth the effort.

Re: Found this rare gem!
That one has a cool history behind it.
The front bumper looks to be an original that was cut for the winch. The rear was most likely a dealer option bumper from when it was new
