A couple pics of last nights progress
I will have to do this in 3 posts. But here is what I did yesterday.
Removed the box, removed rear coild, blocked up rear end till i get the hardware to replace the coils, and painted most of the rear frame. I played with the black paint a bit last night. That fender and door are scrap anyways. What do you think of that color scheme?

Final pic is just one of the drivers side. with the frame exposed, this almost looks like a SWB.

The paint looks fine to me. I kind of like the idea of doing that with one of the bedline type materials. Would be pretty durable for rocks flying up from the road. Looks like the project is coming right along.

I am glad to just get a start on it. I have owned this truck for 4 years and have used and abused it. So now it's time for me to treat it to a few new goodies. I'll be sure to post more pics as I get further ahead in it.

The stacks will be installed after i drop the 350 into place. And the paint scheme was just some screwin around with a rattle can. I might do the same, only with orange and black.

Thanks Guys. I got the coils installed last night, only took about 1/2 hour to get that done. Then I ground down my rally wheels and painted them last night along with the grille.
Ralleys are silver and the grille was painted black.(getting rid of all that ugly blue) And Man does that back end sit up high now with no real weight on it. Feels like I'm riding in a hopped up street rod. Yukon Jack: I should have used spray in bedliner on it, that would be durable as all hell. It only looks like that because the inner parts of the frame were done in flat black and the outer rails in gloss black. Rat: The cab corners are there, but barely. To seal up the cab I used expanding spray foam insulation, shaved it off to the right shape, and put fiberglass over top of it. Up here when you get 8 1/2 months of snow and salt, it takes a toll on a 30 year old truck. I have GM cab corners to replace them with.
