Questions About My '62 C20

Greetings, all. While going through a packet of paperwork from my old truck, I came across this. And now I have a couple of questions. What exactly is this document? And how unusual is it that it has a 261 in it? In my brief bit of research yesterday, it seems that the 261 was only available in 2-ton or larger trucks and buses? I appreciate any insight you all might have. Thanks!https://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vbo...1&d=1654520428

From the GM Heritage Center - https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-..._Truck_FL.html
The 261 was first available in light duty trucks in 62, here is a page from the sales brochure.

Rocknrod, thanks for the info. I always assumed it was a 235 until I found that sheet.

Any evidence of original green paint on the 261?

These bars are on the driver's side. I don't know, is that considered green?

Yes, looks like some original green paint still left. Chevy painted truck engines different colors prior to '67 so they could easily be identified by GM mechanics. Big six was green, small six was blue.

So, back to my original post. Does anyone know what that paper is? Forgive my ignorance, but that's not considered the build sheet, is it? Some of the build sheets I've seen are a lot more involved. And what is "Perm Anti Freeze"?

I saw the same type document here - https://www.ebay.com/itm/124120401533
Maybe a dealer order form? Invoice? Shipping Invoice?

Re: Questions About My '62 C20

The reason I ask about that form, it truly gave me a goosebump moment. Back story, we bought that truck for my daughter to drive as her first car. She drove it all through high school, and it's been in the family since.
If you look closely at the date in the lower right hand corner of that paper, it's 12/21/61. 12/21 is my daughter's birthday. What are the odds?

Re: Questions About My '62 C20

Is it possible to post more photos of the 261? Left side of block and right side of block? Also, did it have a V8 style air cleaner assembly or oil bath type? Thanks.

Here you go. Everything here is as it was when we bought the truck, so I can't vouch for authenticity.

Re: Questions About My '62 C20

Thanks for the photos. Yes, a V8 style air cleaner was used. A rare opportunity to see a 261 in a pickup. The oil filter location is interesting, is that the factory? Do hoses go into the side of the left side of block thru 1/2" pipe thread fittings? Thanks again, in advance.

Re: Questions About My '62 C20

I did read online that the remote oil filter was standard(?) on these. Evidently some folks capped them off at the block and almost immediately seized the motor. I don't know if the location is factory.

Re: Questions About My '62 C20

Apparently on some (maybe older units?) the drivers side there are 3 triangular patterned holes some use for the oil filter.

But I see some are used for motor mounts.
