Window crank

I'l like to clean/buff/re-chrome the door handles and window cranks, but cannot figure out how to remove the plastic knob. Advice?

Finding a shop that will replate diecast might be a challenge though.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
