Need 1" more drop, asking for advice
I have a DJM/Belltech drop of 2" in front, and 4" in the rear by menas of shackles, hangers, and want 1" more on the back. I'm gonna get spindles for the front to drop it 2" more, and want 1" on the back. Can I get 3" hangers? Replacing the shackles were a *****, took me almost 2 days with a air chisel/drill, big ass hammer to get the oem out, so don't wanna screw with that.
Any advice is appreciated. |

If the shackles were that hard, you certainly don't wnat to mess with the hangers. They are rivited on. If you only need an inch, I would just use a block. They are just as good as any other way, if you are only needing an inch or two. It's when you get too much block in there that things get shakey.

Paco's truck is a 73-87 type if I remember right. A block won't lower that truck in the back.
I'm pretty sure I've seen a 3 inch shackle before. It had 2 set of holes in it, a 2 inch and a 3 inch hole.

Shackles will either drop the rear 1" or 2". There is no 3" shacke. About the only way to get 5" of drop is with a flip kit. For this, you will need to put your stock hangers and shackles back on though. If you leave the drop shackles on it, you will be at 6" or 7" of drop depending on if you are in the upper or lower hole in the shackle.
