I'll have to go out and make positive of the correct size. but you have to have the special shoulder bolts, regular bolts won't get the hood adjusted right. You should be able to source them from someone in Canada though https://www.classicparts.com/1947-54...ctinfo/38-525/

My ongoing truck projects:
48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

I am going to try a local place first as I would like to get the hood on. I have a US post office box for parts as we are 11 miles from the border, but it takes time..Unfortunetly not available from Rockauto.. they ship directly to my house in 2 days...amazing.

Re: 1950 GMC hood hinge to hood bolts

Chevs of the 40's want too much money for theirs.

Wes is still a bit spendy compared to Classic parts but he is in Olympia Wa and if he has them in stock might be the faster way to get them to your US mail box. https://www.classicheartbeat.com/pro...inge-bolt-kit/

I'd call and make sure that they have them in stock before ordering though.

Classic parts sends small parts in priority mail boxes and I usually see them on the third day after I order them.

Re: 1950 GMC hood hinge to hood bolts

I ran bolts with a sleeve make from a piece of tubing over it.

Back in the seventies when these trucks were not loved an there was very little reproduction parts.

Cool. and no shipping, Now you will pull out a box and there the old ones will be in a nice baggie. At least that is my luck.
