Switching from NP203 to NP 205 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hello
I am looking to switch out mt 203 for a 205
I know the rear drive shaft is different size
Is the shifter and linkage different or just the knob.
Should I look for the front axle internals from a donor truck
or just buy a conversion
Anything else I need to consider

Different adapter needed along with a sleeve. different shifter needed also. You already know about the d-line. Front axle just needs a set of locking hubs
