Fuel Pump Took a Powder
My mechanical fuel pump took a dump this morning. It's a Top Street Performance Mechanical Fuel Pump JM1003BK. It only has 1,033 miles on it since I installed it. The pump arm wobbles all over the place unlike when it was new. I changed the old carter out for this in January along with the inlet and outlet positions of the fuel lines.
Doesn't seem like they build stuff like they used to . Of course for the price I should have known better. Trying to save money and have to buy twice. I guess I could get the same unit and hope it lasts till winter and change out for an electric. Which will probably take a dump on me in 2,000 miles.

Dang, that's a bummer.
I got a Delphi mechanical pump when mine went out. Crossing my fingers that it will last longer than that

Re: Fuel Pump Took a Powder
That's good to hear.. They have a #12-834 pump that will work but I have to make small changes to the inlet and outlet tubing. I may consider it instead.
Well the new one is all back in and working, Summit had it at my door in less than 24 hours and I didn't even pay extra for shipping. Like I said this winter a change must happen either way.
