1968 Police Tow Truck
Sorry if this has been posted before, did some searching and didnīt find it on here.
Think it is a cool picture. Found it in a Swedish tow truck group on Facebook, think it was posted there because the truck is towing a Swedish Volvo 121/122 or Amazon as they are called here.

Looks like it was taken right in front of Macy's 34th Street Entrance in Manhattan.
Not sure exactly when in the mid 70's the NYPD changed to the blue/white paint scheme from the earlier tan/white/green schemed vehicles. As to the hood, might it be a meduim duty cab tow truck? I don't see anything unusual about the hood on the tow truck.
