72 Chevy C10 with updated drive train
Hey everyone.
Father and I working on a 72 Chevy C10. We found a 1990 Chevy 350 with 700R4. We changed the fuel system to carburetor. Is this anything we need additionally to get this motor tranny set up going? Thanks to everyone for your help Stay Safe out there. Lewis US Army Retired. |

Re: 72 Chevy C10 with updated drive train
You will need to set up your tv cable from your tranny. If you arent familiar with how to do it, winch it up on a trailer and take it to a trans shop. You can burn up an r4 in short order. You will need to run 12v to your HEI and use your old alternator if it has not been updated. That's all I did special on mine and I did the same thing. You will finally have to wire in a lockup for 4th tc lock up. Mine is manual. Google it and explore options. You may not want to do yours like I did so I wont explain it.
