corvette filter regulator plumbing

for the gurus which one of the connections is the supply and which is return. i've done many searches and see both as supply and return. i assumed the side (off center) port is the supply but now not sure. HELP!!!!?

The "in" pressure side is on the same end of the FPR as the return. The "in" is the larger of the two and offset from the center line of the return. To the engine is on the opposite side of the FFR.

I plumbed my corvette filter regulator just like it said on the internet. Truck had no fuel pressure but I could hear fuel returning to the tank. Looked up the plumbing again and found both plumbing options listed as correct. Swapped my lines around and I had fuel pressure. Everyone has an opinion and only half are correct.
I also had a aftermarket fuel pump that was wired backwards from the factory. It sucked!
After repaing these two items my LS1 still wouldn't fire. Turned out my brand new coil to main harness connectors were wired backwards. (from Fleabay)
Years ago one never had to worry about this type of stuff.
