I had a 99 Tahoe and we really liked it. My wife missed teh road and removed teh right front wheel- end of the Tahoe. But she was able to walk away without a scratch. I would try to find a 96-up model, to get the better dash and the Vortec engine. They are pretty plentiful (and rust free) here, it may be worth a trip down.

I am guessing you are asking about the 2 door 2WD's? If so, yes there are some, but not as many as 4WD's. The 2 door ceased to exist in 1999 in both configurations.

Yes, I have a 1980 2wd 2 door dropped and I would love to get a newer 2 door model and do the same. Unfortunaely up here in Ontario we can only get 4 x 4.

From what I can tell, the later 2wd 2 door are super rare, at least around here. All of them I have seen are 4WD. I can imaine where you might actually need 4WD, there probably even rarer. The 4 doors seem to be a lot more popular. I like the 2 door ones, but I would probably spring for a 4 door one the next one I buy.
