Ripping off all the emmisions 86 K5

hey I heard of some guys that cut the smog pump belt, replaced the carb w/non-EGR got rid of all those sensors and crap and most importantly put a real Air cleaner on it and plugging that ehaust line to the carb, why the hell would you want to combust hot air??

so I was just checking to see if anyone else had done this, I here it really runs good after.

The only peice of emmisons under the hood that eats any real power is the air pump EVAP does not take one ounce of power away. EGR doesn't either. When you floor it the EGR will close.

As long as the Thermac in the air cleaner is working there is nothign worng with that air cleaner. It will move plenty of air. More importantly it moves plenty of freash cool air through the snorkle in the grill. A open element underhood air cleaner sucks hot air and your not going to be movining enough air that you need more then the stock set up can provide.
This is one of those parrents deals. If everybody jumped off a cliff would you do it?
