Re: Front Bumper Option
mold in question. this is for the bottom of glove box that needed to clear a larger than factory delux heater. A lot of the masking tape pulled off when I made the bottom, but I was able to re-use the same mold without that notch at the back to make the top half and used packing tape for the top. For the bumper I would not rely on tape. I could destroy the cardboard mold if needed and deformed it quite a bit getting bottom out. Bumper would not be so forgiving I'm contemplating a headliner molded on roof. Someone on here did that but never posted the final results |

Re: Front Bumper Option
i wouldn't use cloth, use 3/4oz mat.
cloth doesn't lay well without wrinkling up, wrinkles are air that need grinding out look thru my build a bit, i documented quite a bit of fiberglass fabricobbling buy a gallon of un waxed resin and 5 yards of 3/4oz mat you probably won't need a gal, but buying 2 qts is probably the same cost if you need help ask in my thread, i'm snowbirding in tx for the next 4 months i won't have pictures like on the pc but i can talk you thru what isn't in my build here is where i bought my materials uscomposites.com/polyesters just get the 404 Tooling Polyester Resin-Isophthalic

Re: Front Bumper Option
Back in my surfing days we used balsa wood runners for strength. We used soap or car wax for mold release in our skateboard molds.
