Just curious, how can you tell by just looking at it that it's a longhorn?
I noticed the fuel doors on both sides, they are the same as my '72.

There is no way I'd part that thing out, I really hope you decide to restore it. It looks like you have one heck of a great starting point. Highly optioned 68 Longhorn 50th's aren't exactly common. But, it's your truck, whichever way you go is cool.

WOW! Awesome find...and story to go with it! "Just tow it outta here"....GREAT!
![]() Please don't part it out. There are two few of them left...and that one is a real winner with the originality and options. I'm a SWB guy at heart...but I would love that truck to death in a 'Heartbeat'! ![]() Congratulations! |

The steering wheel should look like the one in the bottom of this page. It is from Longhornman's web site. There are some other 68 Longhorns shown there.

actually the wheel base is 133'' as opposed to 127''. the easiest way to tell is the added section to the front of the bed. just to ease the minds of all who have commented,"I AM NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PARTING THIS TRUCK OUT!!!" what do you all think i am nuts? i would be interested in knowing what a resorable truck like this is worth. i have also found a lwb fleet 50th but its kind of rough if anyone is interesed. ![]()

Elk Hunter, Got to say that is a nice find. Good to see a fellow Oregonian have great luck. If you take it to any shows you’ll have to let us know so we can drop in and see it.
