Determining Emissions Equipment

How would I find out what emissions equipment originally came on my truck? It's a 1978 GMC C15. Bought new here in Arizona. The RPO Code says NA2-Standard Emissions system. I only have charcoal canister, and catalytic converters. No smog pump or ports in the exhaust Manifolds. It's a 250 inline 6.

I'm getting ready to go through emissions test for the first time. The truck hasn't been registered in years.

Thanks.

Re: Determining Emissions Equipment

I don't have my books anymore that listed equipment required, so you'll have to take a short trip to an inspection station and get a list of requirements from them. Unless somebody else here has that info and it is accurate for your truck and state

Re: Determining Emissions Equipment

Does it still have the emissions sticker on the radiator support? If not I would just make sure EGR is hooked up besides what you already have now. That is what CO goes off of but honestly I do not think these young techs even know what they are looking at when they see a carbureted engine.

Re: Determining Emissions Equipment

Thanks for the Manual Keith. That helps. It does have that little radiator sticker, but it's faded. I agree though, I'd be surprised if they knew what they were looking at.
