60-62 torsion bar question
I am installing my torsion bars after frame and suspension was painted.
I know they are side specific, marking on bars is 851 with arrow swooping counter clockwise and 852 with arrow swooping clockwise. Marking is only on one end. Which side is which? Does the number side go forward or rear? Thanks for the help. I have checked the shop manual section 3 and I do not see it there. But it does say they are specific to one side one direction. |

Re: 60-62 torsion bar question
851 was on the LEFT on my '61.
The arrows point in the direction that the bars twist under LOAD. Enjoy.

Thank you. That was my assumption but needed confirmation.
Appreciate it. |

I've got a complete 61 frame without the body on it if you need any pictures or other questions
