When AC compressor on Truck pulls to the right
It feels like this truck is not meant to have AC in it. I have been working on this for about 3 years off and on. The AC is still not blowing cold air with compressor working but the worst problem is it pulls to the right when it is running. I took it for a test drive to see if more air passing over condenser would cool AC system. Any one have any idea why that is, I have a newer Sanden compressor on truck. When the compressor is on it does not seem to pull idle down at all. I do not even have a fast idle AC switch hooked up on truck. The truck normally idles about 750 and with compressor on I say it is about 700 rpm. I put two cans of refrigerant in truck and just blows warm air.

Re: When AC compressor on Truck pulls to the right
If it only has two cans of freon, probably not enough. Most R-12 systems wanted between 3 and 4 cans. IIRC - R-134 needs a bit less and is more sensitive to over and under fills.
Unless it is a older system with a sight glass, you really need a gauge setup to hit the correct fill amount. |

my truck takes 3 or 4 cans for the a/c to work good.

Re: When AC compressor on Truck pulls to the right
The two symptoms are completely isolated. Not possible for one to cause the other.
