I wonder if you all might have done something similar and could post a picture of yours and tell me what wheel and tire combinations you have. Maybe even where you purchased them?
I'm hoping to see a few variations.

Thanks in advance!
I just put some Coker h78-15 wide whitewalls on my truck and it looks close to what you are going for

What size wheels? Backspace? etc? Do you have discs?

This is the look I want and I was looking at those U.S. Wheels series 68s in a 15x7 and 15x8.

They are us wheels rat rod (series 69) in 15x6 with 3.5” back space, I’ve got disc on front and back, I had to put 1/4” spacer on the front but I’m running wilwood and they are known to stick out farther than a stock type caliper

Re: Wheel/tire pics

I'd say you nailed it. Your eyes see the complete truck as one unit front to back, top to bottom and nothing stands out and distracts the eye with the "look at me first I am more important than the rest of the truck" vibe.

Personally I think that those frost shields/visors are the silliest thing that the lowrider Bomba brigade and lowrider magazine ever stuck on the rest of the old car folks. usually they look stuck on as an afterthought but on that truck it is just part of the package and doesn't stand out. The only thing that stands out at all is the "OH, Cameo, cool ". thought as it well should be but you have to look twice to catch that.

Well done sir, well done.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

That goes right along with what I have been saying for years. When you first look all you see is the complete truck with nothing distracting from the complete truck and then you start sorting it out.

First with "by gum, that is a 4x4 conversion and maybe a Napco conversion. Sits right, what wheels does he have on it?'? No frufru that doesn't belong on a nice reasonably original looking 4x4 truck as so many AD and TF guys stick on their trucks because they think you have to have one of those and one of that to be in the cool guy club.

Re: Wheel/tire pics

I like threads like these. I also suggest it would be good to add suspension drop/lift as well for reference as a lot of the pics I see aren't stock.
