1970 short step side project, sale or trade
I just bought this truck locally (middle Tennessee) and had plans to take it to the frame next spring but another deal came along and well.... I took a few spare parts that came along with this truck and I stole the aluminum intake and Edelbrock carb. ( I'll give you an iron 4 bl with Qjet to replace the one I stole). It has a 74' 350 4 blt main with 882 heads. It also has a set of headers but no mufflers. It runs pretty well but lets out a blue puff when starting it. The PS is not hooked up and the brakes are pretty scary so I wouldnt drive it. You can see the sheetmetal was pieced together before I got it. Interior looks like a war broke out and the upholstery lost. The rockers and pans and cab corners are toast but the rest of the truck is good+. The rear fenders are excellent. The fronts are pretty good, except inner right front under battery. Box sides are good but wood floor is gone. Hood and grill are pretty good. I stole the front bumper and the rear is good old fashioned home built. I wanted to 4-link and bag this one but I have a line on a 55 Ford (yikes) and need the room. My neighbors have no sense of humor about storing such things in my driveway. I heard something about a lynching. Go figure. Anyway its yours for $750 come get it, quickly.
I tried to attach pictures, if they dont show up PM me and I'll get them out ASAP I might consider a trade or partial trade for a reasonably fresh, strong, small block or some good hi-po parts to build one. I dont want a ragged out oil huffer regardless of the pedigree. |

70 short step
Bryan
I am in Murfreesboro TN. It is a pretty good hike for you. I might be able to meet you in s. Missouri sometime. It wont be here by the time you get down here in September. My neighborhood has a 21 day limit on parked vehicles and as hard as it is to beleive they will actually file a law suit on me if it exceeds that by any significant time. They havent given me offical warning yet but I am sure it will get here in the next week. They are petty little people who never have any fun and want to make sure no one else is having fun either. That sort of sucks for them because I enjoy myself frequently. I like your "wifes" truck. Actually I sort of bought this one for my wife. I have a short fleet but she prefers steppers. We had decided to go flat out on this one - blower, BUdniks bags the works, but I am fickle like a lot of guys- there is always another pretty girl/truck just around the next corner. Lemme know if you have any interest Steve |

what ever
the reason i put that (toasted) cab on the truck is that it was much better that the old one. what did you expect for $1200. its not a show truck. sorry you had buyers remorse.if you would adjust the brakes they would not be so scarry. it just pi$$es me off when i assembled the truck from spare parts and worked very hard to do so and you have nothing good to say about that truck. it is a good starting point. best of luck selling it. this is a great truck to restore hope someone buys it who will appreciate it and finish it.
