Lighter screw backs.
One of the details I have been attempting to finish on my C10 is the lighter.
The back retainer that was lost during the rebuild process. I knew it was around here. I came up with two and none fit. Well the other day I salvaged one from a truck and found out it was shorter than the others. I figured they were all the same. Well I have three different lengths and only the shortest is correct. The short one is 1.5" long. Possibly to make up for the aluminum bezels? Not really sure but I though I would pass this tidbit on. Last edited by Accelo; 11-24-2023 at 09:42 AM. |

Re: Lighter screw backs.
I think the stock one is the Shorter.
Aftermarket Cigarette Lighters can be longer with a longer handle, unlike the stubby OEM one, that looks more like a Choke Knob or Headlight Switch.

Re: Lighter screw backs.
Maybe I can learn something here, where does a choke knob of headlight switch use one of these?

Non-stock Lighter knobs have longer handles. The heat elements may be longer, too. Or shorter, IDK.
