Small Window & Backing Up ?
I would suspect that it was an issue that resorted to offering the larger version. Anyone have experience back in the day ?

Re: Small Window & Backing Up ?
I have. I just use the mirrors. Many trucks have cargo or beds that cover the back window. You can "only" use your mirrors to see backing up. Then there are vans and StepVans with no windows other than up front. Since the late-40s GM offered an option for more glass in the back of the cab. I think they started making the large window in all cabs to save costs when it seemed what people wanted. These trucks moved us into the built for style and comfort era of trucks and the small window doesn't go with that. More stylish like a car

Re: Small Window & Backing Up ?
I had a '67 small window and never had a problem backing up. Also had west coast jr mirrors too.

Re: Small Window & Backing Up ?
Backing up isn't an issue because you're looking over your right shoulder. I had a '67 that I drove daily for 12 years. I got used to leaning way to the right to look over my left shoulder to check the blind spot when changing lanes. Definitely not convenient with a passenger in the center seat.

Re: Small Window & Backing Up ?
The first 67 I built had a small window. I absolutely love how it looks. But I chose a big back window 67 for my current build because I didn't enjoy the limited view. Mirrors are definitely going to be needed both sides but mine vibrated so much (stock mirrors on the tube arms) and we're small and that's what made me want a large rear window.
