Holes between sun visors inside
Roof hole by Robert Moorman, on Flickr
I looked at a 56 Cameo yesterday, and it had these holes. Does anyone know what they are for? Thanks.

Re: Holes between sun visors inside
That is exactly what those holes are for, those speakers that unclebrad showed. We had a similar thread several years ago and he may have been the one who answered then too.
Classic parts and probably most TF truck trinket vendors sell the speakers and grill for that.

Re: Holes between sun visors inside
I believe originally there was only 1 hole since it was a single cone/magnet speaker. I see some replacement speakers have 2 speakers. Does anyone know if these are deep enough to require the holes?

Re: Holes between sun visors inside
Crutchfield, has a dual speaker that fits in a single speaker frame. I have 2 in my 1966 Impala. I think the brand was Kenwood from Crutchfield. On these early Impalas, the speaker is part of the rear seat back. I also have 1 in my dash.

8man LMC truck has them: https://www.lmctruck.com/1948-59-che...front-speakers. There may also be some other suppliers that have them too.

Thanks guys. LMC definitely has them, I'll check with Crutchfield.

Re: Holes between sun visors inside
If you have the cover you use what ever speaker that fits behind it that your ears like.
We all have different ideas on what we want for sound in our trucks from just hear the radio driving down the road to speakers everywhere that totally separate the sound.
