56 chevy 3100 with camaro front end question

Hey everybody,
I have a 56 chevy 3100 with a 1977 camaro front end. I want to do an air bag suspension on it and I was wondering if anyone on here has done that setup on a truck the same year or similar. I am looking for pictures of your build and any part numbers please.
Thank you

It's just a 77 Camaro when you bag the front. There is plenty out there.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: 56 chevy 3100 with camaro front end question

the thing with bagging anything is getting the actual clip from the donor installed at the correct height so that when you bag it, and therefore change the ride height, you want to do that so the ride height of the donor clip is going to be set up so the suspension like it would have been at the donor's ride height. example would be if you take the clip from a camaro and install it in the 56, et it all up like it was in the camaro, and then you drop the 56 lower than the clip was installed for, then the clip is going to be running at a geometry that it wasn't meant to run at. set the 56 at the ride height you want, take the clip and install it in the 56 so it runs at the same geometry as it had when it was in the camaro.
dunno if that makes sense to you. kinda like taking a regular pick up and installing a super high suspension lift kit and then wondering why it doesn't steer correctly. it's because the suspension isn't running at what it considers to be center for suspension travel.

I didn't do it on my 48 But on my 51 Mercury we blocked up the Mercury at the ride height we wanted it to sit at and Measured a same year Nova as the subframe and blocked the subframe up at the same height.

I had a chassis with a 79 firebird clip grafted on. Ridetech air suspension installed and it worked well.
