difference between a 67 C10 tank and a 72 C10 fuel tank
I am changinthe the fuel tank out of my 67 C10 and bought a aftermarket tank and I think its a 72 C10 tank and the bolts don't match up? I thought the tanks were the same from 67 to 72?

71-72 tanks have vapor lines attatched to them, that should be the only difference as far as i know

Re: difference between a 67 C10 tank and a 72 C10 fuel tank
Seems to me a 71 fuel tank cap fits a 72. Could be wrong. But the caps were different, you're right, the 72 cap is "vented". I wonder why really, aren't the tank and charcoal parts the same as a 1971? Perhaps GM just figured the vented cap was simply more better.
1971 EEC cap is actually vented, from what I understand. They just release at a higher PSI than 72. Other then that, for what worth, 1972 senders and fuel pumps are often different then 1971 and prior. Both have ports for a return line.
