I will have to ask my friend what the custom rear end width is on his build. Here is a thread that I posted about it: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=851312 .

I recommend getting the wheel/tire combo and then ordering a rear axle to place them exactly where you want them under the truck.

Re: Pro-Touring rear axle widht ??
This is custom stuff. The axle width would be determined by the amount of backspace of the wheel with needed clearance in fender well. Many like the look of a wide "lip" on the rear wheels which would require a narrower axle. The 13" wheels with a 6" backspace would look good. You are also maybe creating more issues by needing temporary wheels to use for a time. If wheel reveal is not important just make axle stock width and have wheels made to fit.

My 8.8" out of an Explorer is 56.5" wide from WMS to WMS. I have a 13" wide rim with 2.75" BS. The smallest they will make the backspace is 2.5". They are 20" wheels and 28" overall height.

Get the tires mounted on the wheels and mock them up in your truck, at ride height, then you can determine the clearance on both sides of the tire and when your satisfied measure your width between the wheel mounting surfaces for your axle width.
