Hey OldGyrene, would really love to see an outdoor pic of your tailgate. I'm working on a '65 rebuild and based on the link below and dracko's screen shot above it looks like your PPG WA5123 and Ditzler 43276 should be the same. However, your tailgate looks so much bluer than his pics.

I can snap some pics of this paint in the sun too.

I have noticed that this paint looks more blue in photographs than in person. And more blue in the sun

Probably not the same color, but I painted my ’53 back in 1991 code 42 Turquoise Metallic, a 1991 Vette color, used on other GM that year.

Few years later thought is was a mistake, tastes change, but . . . these days he very first thing people say is ‘what a beautiful color’ - not a beautiful truck, just the color - especially women.

Google ‘GM Turquoise Metallic’ and you’ll get a lot of Vette chatter about this color.

Her’e a photo from yesterday in the garage so not direct sun. 28 years!

Well I promised I’d post some pics when it saw daylight so here we go! Pretty pumped to have it back on the road. Still a bunch of small stuff to take care of and parts to track down, but it’s driveable. (Putting the wipers on tonight)
