I robbed the door seals from a 91 lumina apv........same style rubber as the 73-87 trucks use......and I like it.

We have the factory style also.
I use door seals for the 82-93 S10 Blazer on my 71 truck. They seal up great (they are bulkier/thicker that stock). They are a push on design with metal ipregnated in the push on, mounting part of the seal. They bend easily to fit the curves of the door opening, they don't bend enough to make a perfect miter corner, but damn close. They have a nice grain pattern in the rubber that you see from inside the cab, it looks 100 times better. And NO glue required! The one draw back, they are double the price of our factory door seals.
You do have to shut your door a little harder due to the thicker seals, but I'll never use another factory style 67-72 door seal.

If anyone wants to see pic of the mitered corner when these door seals are used, let me know and I will get a picture put up on monday.

Here ya go. These Blazer S10 door seals seal the whole door great. Here is a close up of the passenger side doors mitered corner. That is about the best I could do, to get a perfect bent mitered corner. You still cut these for length like the 67-72 replacement seal. What sold me is the no Glue! Just push them on. It's a real pain in the ass to take off once you push them on the door opening lip.

Thanks for the pic and info 71Chevy, I guess that the hard to get off part may be worth if them seal don't let any water in, I hate sitting in a wet seat everytime it rains.

I mean they are a pain to take off, so that everyone would know the hold great being a push on. They will pull off, but you work at it, they won't just slip off.
First place I went was the car wash after I installed them. And there weren't any leaks and I sprayed well around the doors to test them.

Blue Beard they do come coiled up and they are about 1 foot longer than the perimeter of the 67-72 door opening, you cut them to length like the factory replacements. Paul must have taken all the S10 door seals to the show, I can get the actual length on mon/tues. if you need it.

when installing these is it easier to pre cut them or cut when you get to the end ?

I installed mine and cut to length when the ends met. You could pull them back off then make the cut if you want, but I didn't see any reason to. Just be sure not to cut them too short. I add a half inch to the overall length, to be sure and have a tight splice.

Thanks, I was going to replace the stock ones with the same after I got the truck painted, but I am going to go with S-10. ( I would of never thought about using those on the truck ) This site is great it's amazing how much someone can learn by reading all the posts.

Factory seals glue on. S10 seals just push on, no glue.
