is there any way i can find out what the standard issue carbeurator is for my suburban? mine is a quadrajet 17085230 E4ME w/ M/C solenoid instead of the power valve... junkyardpartseeker have a clue to whats normal? and maybe one for sale? i believe i have the wrong carb because i do'nt have an oxygen sensor or ECM to report oxygen levels to this "mixture control solenoid"

1986. those numbers all sound right for me, but in the edelbrock catalog for 2004 they don't offer anything with the mixture control solenoid...plus im kinda poor and can't do the $800 one where they match the year up for you. i don't have the oxygen sensor so i shouldn't have the M/C solenoid, right? i think the O2 sensor reports to the M/C sol. to richen or lean out the mix. right now im constantly full burn, except not so bad when its cold in the morning. the wire going to the M/C sol. comes from the choke wire about same type of wire and everything. wish i knew if i had the right or wrong something or other.... i think im starting to get pesty on this forum , eh? anyone see the engine in my profile? thats my ugly work...theres my carb too...

Best one I would say contact is 76HighSierra I am sending him my quadrajet to rebuild and set for me. You might have to send him a PM, he mostly hangs on the parts and message board.
