What's a good bed worth?
I've been cleaning out the garage lately with the hope that I'll be able to get a vehicle into it for winter. Have to sort through all my spare truck parts and keep the best stuff. Anyway, I've got a long fleet bed with a wood floor. The bed is in good restorable shape - no major rust and its pretty strait all around. The wood and bed strips will have to be replaced, but the supports are good. Anyway - a good restorable piece.
What is is it worth?

Like with most things it is worth what the buyer will pay for it. A lot of factors determine value, any repairs done like bondo in the sides? Just one factor for example. I have seen boxes in fine original shape sell for up to a thousand dollars. Good luck if you sell, Mike

There isn't a bit of bondo on it. There are a few dents and the surface rust but the important parts are strait - even the front panel.

well they're practically worthless....but you put it on a flatbed and send it to me, i'll reluctantly take it off your hands :p
seriously though, around here, one in good shape could be anywhere from $800-1200 cdn. , i'm guessing it would probably be around the same in manitoba Jason

Location, location, location...yeah I know. Generally speaking, though, are beds with a wood floor in greater demand? Are they more rare?

Metal vs wood is a good question
It would be a good thread to start of the board members what is more common or preferred and why. I myself prefer the wood for a couple of reasons. First I think on a finished truck they are just more dressy(IS THAT A WORD) Secondly around the midwest steel floors rust so quickly you can't find them or mantain them so wood is easier to find and replace for me
