Looks like a custom receiver hitch tire carrier. Never seen anything like it before.

Wow, $429 for a spare tire carrier. I'd think you could have one custom made for less.

I bought that exact tire carrier from Superhitch. Cost about $50. Fits in a Class II receiver hitch. The thing will wobble around in your receiver hitch if you don't have any welded on "lock down" nuts to put pressure on it. Seems like a good idea, but forget about it if you like to drop the tailgate alot. Pulling it out and putting it back in is a PITA especially with an oversized tire.

I was thinking about one of those mount in the bed types like they used on CrazyHorse from trucks. My tires are way too big to go on the rear. I currently don't run a spare because I use my bed sometimes.
