in my younger years ive had shops blow me off for my age and work clothes as well, a lot of techs will blow off a person concerning shop talk because if you go in clean and well dressed you obviously know nothing about vehicles. now that i'm older, I seem to always be the one giving advice to these youngsters. lol
as for 15s, im running 15x6.5 four nubbers on mine and they clear just fine. (2.5" drop spindles and 1' drop spring)

After some prime and paint they dropped right in with No issues using Moog '67 ball joints . CPP (Part# CP4S2) 63-70 2 1/2" drop spindles with 1 coil cut on stock springs .
