Re: Ever seen a '67 '88-'98?
My 67 is similliar. Its all 67 in the front and 96 step bed in the rear. Although the original bed looked pretty cool, this conversion is bad ass. It looks really cool when its traveling down the road cuz people just stare.

Re: Ever seen a '67 '88-'98?
Looks pretty good to me. Considering what it costs to restore an old truck and a/c and other goodies, a front clip like that could be a bargain.
Looks like the site on the tag starts out with www.retro.... and I can't make out what's after that?? Interesting nonetheless. |

Re: Ever seen a '67 '88-'98?
Since the front piece on the '88-98's is fiberglas or SMC, or whatever, some manufacturer with the expertise could create the mold from a converted grille piece. Don't know if they will. It wouldn't be any mfr who wouldn't have an interest in these trucks.

Re: Ever seen a '67 '88-'98?
Someone posted the 99-02 silverado one last year or so, it looks pretty good too!
The 60-66 on the 88 -98 doesn't look good at all IMO.

Re: Ever seen a '67 '88-'98?
Thanks for finding it GoldGMC.
I had a bad wreck 5 years ago and I keep thinking how nice it would be to have dual airbags ( 97 & 98 ) as well as other saftety features and somewhat keep the look of my current truck. Don't know if I could ever part with my truck though. |

Re: Ever seen a '67 '88-'98?
Sweet deal! Glad someone found the site. It really makes me think about keeping my '98 after I get my '68 done.

Re: Ever seen a '67 '88-'98?
HUMMM, I have a 454SS that needs a nose, I was sorta thinking about going with the escalade nose, but the 67 is too sweet and I have one on my two Blazers, so three 67 noses would be right on!! No, I just need to figure out how to do this without spending $3500!!

Re: Ever seen a '67 '88-'98?
BTW it looks like the front part of a 67-8 fender graphed to the 88-99 fender and the rest might be a bolt up deal?? $3500 for a pair of fenders, grill and headlight buckets, etc, bumper for $3500 seems really out of whack?? I dropped an email, I'll see how much of the cat he'll let out of the bag, I could maybe do this myself with some old fenders and spare 67-8 parts? We'll see my 454SS likes the idea already!

This article shows what I was guessing could be done. Albeit this was done on a 2000, the 88-99 seems to follow the contour better. Anyone with any other ideas about how to do this deal without dropping $3500? |

Re: Ever seen a '67 '88-'98?
I agree, the 88-98 has better lines for this conversion. The nose it too rounded on the later model one.
Good find though.
