Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
SWEET! That's exactly what I want done to mine. Can't wait to see it. May have to play hookey from work one day and head out there.
I got my radiator in with dual 13" electric fans and it cools very good now. I had to trim a little off the lower driver side mount to clear the tranny cooler bung.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
When I first started watching what he was doing, I was thinking, "He's doing it all wrong". Then, it all started making sense. He matched the patina on the passenger door perfectly. Does the truck have a pretty "consistent" patina, or is he going to have to work his magic in other spots, too?
That thing is going to look so cool when it's finished. It's funny. I did some CLR work on my '64 this weekend to take the rust off and get down to just the original paint, and you're doing the opposite.

He is a freelance, he would probably do it. Other option is roadtrip to Cleveland?

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
its not consistent side to side, but he did do a pretty good job to matching it what it looked like before panel replacement, the thing is he never saw the truck or pictures of what it looked like before and the finished products looks so similar to the before shot

Did you ever make it to Goodguys? I know you were in a mad thrash, just wondered if it all came together. I am anxious to see how this truck turned out.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
^^It looks like you made the be$T out of a bad $ituation! Selling 3 cars at one event would be awesome, but I'll bet it was a lot of work.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
been pretty damn muggy to get alot done on the truck lately. Might have to put AC in the new shop. All the glass is back in the truck, the BBW conversion worked out great and the new windshield was a great investment too. Steering column and linkage is done, rad and ac condenser mocked up but waiting for the fan to come in, had to do a pretty thin fan to clear the waterpump. If its not stupid hot next week, I'll get it wired up and ready to fire, can't wait to hear what the mutha thumper cam does for the exhaust note.

Re: New project @ Street Machinery 1966 C10
VERY nice.
I like the Tru-Trac up front also. I wish those three deuce set-ups weren't so expensive.
