Re: Best "Rake/Stance" for a Hot Rodded 60-66 C10?
Thanks guys! I appreciate the compliments. I think she had a 3" drop all around when I bought her. When I upgraded the brakes I had 2.5" drop spindles installed. So its 5.5" drop in front and 3" in back.

Re: Best "Rake/Stance" for a Hot Rodded 60-66 C10?
This is a '66 my dad bought/sold not too long ago. It had 5.5" front drop with spindles & springs. The rear was coilovers with c-notch.

Re: Best "Rake/Stance" for a Hot Rodded 60-66 C10?
Not ideal for a routine driver unless it has bags, but I'm sure it works great for what it was intended. Pretty cool rake though!

Re: Best "Rake/Stance" for a Hot Rodded 60-66 C10?
We set up the burb with a bit more "rake", kinda like the rear up a bit.
It still needs to be able to haul and tow...

Re: Best "Rake/Stance" for a Hot Rodded 60-66 C10?
New rear suspension. The truck got more rake. Is it to much or is it cool? I will buy new bigger front tyres to get the front up a little bit.

Re: Best "Rake/Stance" for a Hot Rodded 60-66 C10?
What is the most amount of rake you can get out of just using adjustible shocks, like HiJackers, and standard front end?
In the day I remember just pumping up the Gabriels and that was enough of a rake.

Re: Best "Rake/Stance" for a Hot Rodded 60-66 C10?
Here is mine as it currently sits. I go back and forth on whether to leave it alone, drop the front a bit more or drop both the back and the front. Thoughts?
I have also been debating whether to turn it from an 8 foot bed into a 7 foot bed...but that is for a different thread. (Oh! I made a rhyme.) |

What does your suspension setup consist of? I really dig the slight rake.
