factory digital tuner radio?

friend of mine has a radio for our trucks that looks like my factory one but it has a digital tuner and digital display. did these come factory in some of our trucks? how much should i give him for it? i want to give him a fair price for it but neither of us have any idea how much its worth

i think i may have seen an aftermarket "stock" radio like that in a LMC or ChevyDuty book

They were available as early as 1981. I had one in my 81 Trans Am, 82 Corvette, and 83 Suburban. I am not sure about how much they are worth, though. $20 would probably be fair, if the display is not burned out.

I have a factory digital tuner, with cassette and equalizer I just took out of my 91 Suburban so you might want to look in a wrecking yard for something like that.

if my memory serves me correct, cadillac had a digital radio that would fit in these trucks most were with cassette but some were just am/fm, and if memory also serves correct they bolt up real easy you may have to do some minor wiring mods tho i wouldnt pay more than $20-30 bucks
