Do they Sell matched Locksets?
I am wondering if someone sells Match Locksets where one key opens the door and starts the truck .. I know they have them for 67-72 but i have never heard of it for a 73-87.

Mornin!
I just installed the Ignition/Door lock kit (#53-482) Last week and it was a piece of cake. Good quality, and besides a puller of some sort for the steering wheel everything goes in with common hand tools. Chevy Duty also sells a kit (#18-154) which includes ignition, both doors and the glovebox for $39.95. My nickels worth, Scott |

I did not think that a "ONE " key unlocks all set was available for 73 - 87 but a locksmith can change your current set over to one key unlocks all . I had my house set up so that one key opens every lock and its so convinent we would not have it any other way again . |

Keyed Alike Locks have been available for houses for a long time Just match the numbers on the package ..
I dont have a glovebox lock so that doenst matter The ign Key is really easy to take out just takes a Torx 15 i think Pretty simple ive had my colum plum apart and back together so i should be able to handle it. My 68 i just sold had matched keys That a friend bought and i used to have a 72 3/4 ton that had matched keys Factory i assume. It is really nice to not have to fumble with two keys And when you have numerous vehicles Dont have a janitor look. |
