Help with PST body mounts

I purchased and installed PST polygraphite body mounts for my '73...and now I have a couple questions.

According to the directions/illustration, it appears that the "cone" shaped mount should rest directly below the body and the donut shaped one goes below the frame mount. The old stock rubber mounts had the cone shaped piece under the frame mount and the donut shaped piece under the body...and all the resto catalogs (LMC, etc...) show them in that order as well. Long story short, it appears PST has them flipped compared to stock.

To make matters worse, the part numbers in my PST directions show both mounts as part number 4011...when in fact they are 4011 and 4010. I can remember which one is which (since they are currently on the truck).

Does anyone have PST body mounts, or has anyone installed them. Any advice, help, or picture would be appreciated. What would you do?

Thanks!

I would put the cones on the bottom. The donuts will have more area to hold the body.

Exactly. On the instructions, it's a Typo. Kinda stupid, but I think it's the top one on the paper that's supposed to be 4010. (I know, I just did these body mounts about a month ago.)

If that is the case, not only is it a typo, but the illustration is incorrect as well.

I am going to be calling PST on Monday. I went out and changed them around...but don't feel good about it. The cab now sits slightly lower (since the two cushions are different in height), and the transmission feels awfully close to the tunnel...I would bet about 1/4-1/2" of space. I am also worried about body alingment, if I have them backwards the bed and fenders may not line up with the cab. Not only that, but the washer that is supposed to go under the cone shape mount, is actually larger than the tapered end of the mount...making it look somewhat weird or out of place.

BTW - #5 is actually part number 4010.

How fookin frustrating!

I will post the answer when I find out.

I have PST body mounts and placed the "cone" shaped ones below the frame.
