Thumbs up Thanks Fine69...

I have said it before on here....but Mike saved me once again.
I burned up a wheel bearing and toasted a hub on the almost as dependable as gravity 69 GMC the other day ont he way to work on thursday...spent all friday morning in local junk yards looking, but ended up empty handed. (did see a junk 71 Longhorn in a local yard...with a stock style steel floor welded in) Called mike, played a little phone tag, and ended up hauling out there in a shop truck.
Here is Mike, trying to get all kinds of stuff done, trying to get ready for a trip to Chicago, and he puts everything on hold to help me. Takes me 40 miles (one way) to a friend's lot where he keeps some of his treasures (you know, the stuff the wife would call junk) and points to a 69/70 C-10..."there's your hub man"...like always, he didn't want any money either.

Mike, i know I said it a couple times, but thank you for jumpin through your ass to help me out. Next trip out there I'll get that BOP tranny to you...promise. (couldn't get any help, so i hurt my back trying to get it out of the basement on my own)

Crazy, I didn't get a pic. For some reason, that yard wouldn't let me take my digi-cam in. The bed was pretty well kerfagled and rusted so bad, the floor was faling off, and the bedsides were about to hit the ground too. The floor though, looked to be installed correctly, but the 6 inch extention was at the back. you could tell in the spots where paint was missing that it was extended, but the edges that still had some paint on them, and you'd have to look real close to see the weld. I found the whole bed floor odd as the rest of the truck was stone stock, and nothing had been touched.
Chris...sorry man, all I know is he had to go pick something up, and he had a buddy going with him.
