Just in case I stumble accross one in a junkyard when I have money burning a hole in my pocket (which definitely isn't now...lol) what year seville do these come out of? I assume the seville rotor matches the 5 lug pattern or do you use a front rotor from a 69-72? How much work is it to fab a bracket to securely mount these babies? Just curious b/c disk brakes are definitely something I'd like to have all around eventually in my '72 C10 (which already has disks on the fronts)

you can use the Seville rotors, but you will have to have the center "hub" (the part the sticks thru the center of the drum) and the O.D. of the large flange hub (the flange that the lugs pass thru) machined down. The Caddy rotor will NOT simply slide on without this machine work being done. The brackets will either have to be fabricated/machined. I have heard that there are aftermarket brackets out there for this project, but I have never been able to find them. I made my own brackets.
You can also use your original E-brake cables, but you will have to do some modifications to the cable as well as the arm/lever that is on the caliper. I used calipers from a '77-'79 Seville .... but be forewarned, without good quality "cores" these calipers are EXPENSIVE. The core charge for ONE caliper is about what dmec is asking for his set. PLUS, his calipers already have the E-brake components ... which is very very hard to find. If I didn't already have a spare set of these calipers, I would jump on them quick. This is an extrememly good price. |

My info says they need to be 76-78 Cadillac Eldorado. If these are those, I will take them.

You can use the brackets off a Seville of the right year. I have a set of the brackets with dust shields should anyone need them with these calipers. These will fit on 12 bolt axles and use the the calipers shown in this post. $40.00 shipped within CONUS. Not trying to hitchhike on anyone's post but thought they might help sell these calipers.

these calipers are from 80-85 cad seville and are used with rotors from 77-79 cad seville. the reason to use these calipers is because the e brakes pull from the front. the calipers on the 77-79 seville are staggered, meaning they are on opposite sides of the axle. the right side caliper e brake pulls to the rear which makes connecting them more of a challenge. the 76-78 eldorado caliper is for a thicker rotor and are probably used on 3/4 ton conversions. the small frame backing plates from 77-79 seville can be used but require reworking/fabricating. the pictures i am showing are installed on a 66 chevelle rear end and can be used on any chevelle/camaro/nova 10 or 12 bolt up to around 77. |

Yes, my application would be for a 3/4 ton 4x4. I am going to say that these will not work for me. Is that correct?
If so, I will pass to the next person. Just want to be perfectly clear and fair. The price is right but if they do me no good, let someone else have the bargain.
