My new daily driver...
1988 Buick LeSabre Coupe(not the T-Type). 125k miles, well maintained. Owned by an elderly lady since new. I got it for $400(US). Has anyone seen a coupe like this before that is not the high-performance T-Type LeSabre? I have searched everywhere on the net and can not find a coupe like this. I am thinking that maybe it was special ordered? Here's a pic...

Those coupes like yours are rare. I see a few being driven around, but they are always by old ladies. They seemed to rust out faster than the sedans, but that may just be cuz of teh horrid road salt around here. They actually made 2 different types of coupes, the Lesabre coupe and the Park Ave coupe (a lot rarer, rounded rear roofline). They also made the coupes with Oldsmobile badges, as the 88 and 98. in the trunk on the piece of plastic that covers the spare tire (under the rear carpet), there should be a sticker listing RPO codes. the descriptions arent listed, but they can be found on the web. i had fun decoding mine. got any interior shots?

oh, and the Lesabre t-type coupes were not really high performance. they had the same naturally aspirated 3800 Series I as all the other buicks (no turbo ), but they had model specific aluminum wheels, factory ground effects and a spoiler, and usually had the full instrument cluster and a console shifted automatic. maybe some other model specific stuff too, but i can't remember.
oh yeah, they had a special rear light assembly that had yellow blinkers, vs. the all-red ones on the regular buicks. they may have also had the "FE3" sport suspension package as standard, but again im not sure.

Thanks for all the info! Do you know any website where I can find more information about this car? I am the kind that needs to know everything about a car...interior pics will be coming soon.

hehe, I am one of those types as well...I have not found a web site for these cars, but this is my third one. My first car was an '89 Lesabre, and my 4th car was an '89 Olds 88. When I go out and drive around, I always look for these cars as well as old trucks. I am just going by what I have seen around here. Also, in the local junkyard, there are about 40 sedans (buicks, oldsmobiles, plus bonnevilles) and there is 1 coupe, an '86 Olds 98. As of now, I have never seen another coupe like that on the road.
Right now I am on a mission to find a factory cupholder. If a car was optioned with the 60/40 split bench with center console storage armrest, there was a flip out plastic cupholder inside. My first Lesabre had one, but my Olds and now this Buick don't have them any more. And of course with all those cars in the JY, none of them have a cupholder

Here are a couple of pics. They are blurry because of the poor lighting and the flash wasn't on. You kind of get the idea, though...
