Tire and RIm question on a C-20
I have a 1969 chevy custom camper that I got a last year. They have the orginal 16 size tire on the truck. I went to Belle Tire yesterday to get some Eagle 58 series rims which are already in but not on the truck yet. I told my brother (who lives in a city near by) that I got the rims and he asked me why didnt I get wider rims and new tires? The rims are 16 x 8. This might be a stupid question but how much of a difference would it make putting bigger rims on it and getting the grandpa tires off and putting bigger ones on? I have a 350 engine in it but its no hot rod. ANy ideas would be great.
Thanks. Truck69 |

mostly the wider rims and tires would make it look better. Handling couold be inproved too, but in reality, the wide ones just look 10 times better.

Just keep those "grandpa tires" on it whipper-shnapper... they look cool and orginal on that truck.
It you are willing to sell those 16" rims, I'ld be interested in them possibly (less tires)
