My son who use to work for a mobil paint scratch repair suggested trying paintless dent removal company. He told me he was suprised at the success they had in pulling dents that he thought would never come out. Now for access to the back you could pull the whole side off and replace it. Someone just posted last week a way to remove the whole side and replace it with a new panel, in fact my son just pulled the whole side off his 80 this evening and we will head out to the wrecking yard to scout out another this weekend.
Tom

Can you weld? If so, weld sticks on the dent and start pulling on the sticks (nails work) from the outside in, then grind off the sticks and finish up with filler. Try to get it as close as possible. A smarter solution would be to become friends with someone that works at a body shop that has a dent puller. Basically it does the same but it's a spot welder at the same time. Just spot weld, pull, twist to release and start in a new spot. A real nice piece of equipment.

Can't weld Thought about replacing the whole panel...but the truck was just painted about 3 months before I got it and the dent was already there. Is there anyway to access it from below or inside the bed? I may just replace the whole bed side since it will need paint anyway.

Welcome to the board, nice looking truck too!
As far as the dent, it might be alot harder than everyone thinks...it appears to be right on the body line too...making it even more difficult. Finding a new or good bedside might be a challenge too, but if you can, I think I would go that route. Here is a link on my site to rebuilding your bed, maybe it will help.

Welcome to the forum. Post more pics when you can.
A good body man could fix that panel. If you can find a good bedside that would be a better way to go though...
