Sorry guys, just pics of the truck! Since I'm the one takin the pics i couldn't really get one of me AND the truck...and who whould want a pic of just little 'ol me?! :p lol here ya go anyway...she needs lots of work, but runs like a champ. I don't know where to start or what to do first, there's so much! I'm not doing a full frame off or anything, I just don't have the room right now, but i'm thinking about changing out the whole interior, needs a new dash and seats anyway, any suggestions on a good doner truck to buy? It's 4x4 now..but i'm thinking i want to lower it, so I'll be switching it to 2wd...

If you do indeed decide to change it over and make it 2wd I am sure the transfer case will pay for part of that if its the original one it should be a NP205. This page might be of interest to you.

Also maybe its my computer but i see no pics :p Maybe I came online right as you posted and forgot to include them

Good luck with the new ride. BTW heres a pic of my two.............if I can get the pic to attach lol.

lmao, that was pretty quick. Nice blazer, does need some work, but what truck of that age doesnt! Swap it to 2wd and lay it out, it would look better imo.

hmmm, now that i've seen you with your top off, i'm not so sure i like you. your rear end is a bit saggy. (no offense towards you or your truck meant, its a very common thing with K series trucks)

please, please, please, please dont convert to 2wd!

I just got it 2 days ago...still dreamin about the finished project now. BTW I am TOTALLY kidding about the painting it pink thing! I am NOT that girlie! I did take it over the median today cause there was a traffic jam...maybe i will leave it 4x...lol

2wd, need more of those that arent in the nose bleed section of life. You can still go over the median, air up, over, air down, drive.

Heather, Paging Heather! TALK SOME SENSE INTO THIS GIRL! lol

seriously, i wouldn't lift it "as high as i can get it" 4-6" will give you a VERY capable rig, and still be stable enough for the street.

i'm going to run 6" on my "K10" with 39-40" tires, but 35" tires are very common and look great with 6". anything bigger requires hacking of the fenders.

You have got some work to do but it will be a fun project. You seem to know a lot about this stuff. You must have some mechanics in the family or something.

Hehehe....ok let me give it a try

Why spend the money ruining a perfectly good 4x4 rig to downgrade to a 2wd? Sorry guys...I know most of you love your 2wd but I just don't get why people would spend the money and the time to convert rather than have the best of both worlds. If you want a 2wd...buy a 2wd....

That would be an AWESOME rig to keep as 4x...lift it 6"...get some 35" swampers and...wait now...picture this....drop the top come spring time...hop in the rig with your favorite guy and a good lunch....pop in a good driving CD...anything AC/DC, Jet, or Metallica...or well whatever YOU like ....wind blowing through your hair...head up into the mountains, maybe some BLM roads and just keep taking whatever road leads you up....no matter what's in your path, you can get over it with your lifted rig (ok, well, within reason)....find a nice spot with a nice view with your nice guy, your nice lunch and nice truck....and just enjoy yourselves where no one else can find you.... :p

Of course if it was me, I'd bring my .357 just so I could pop off a few rounds and hone in on my shooting skills some

the guy i got the truck from recommended a 4" lift... after goin out tonight and messin around with the truck and really lookin up under it that's probably what i'll do... I've got SO much to do with this truck that adding a conversion to the list just doesn't sound like a good idea... this is my fist truck, and won't be my last, there will be time for body dropping and airbagging! I'll have some variety! Hmmm will i take the tall truck or the short truck to work today?

why don't you sell the astro you have there, and put the money into a lift kit or something for the blazer.. that astro has definately seen better days..

nice blazer by the way, tons of potential...

I say leave the cow catcher on there. It looks pretty good, just add some mongo sized driving lights to give it more purpose.

I would just leave it a 4wd. Since it's already a bit rough, you won't mind a dent or scratch when your wheelin. If you want a 2wd Blazer, you would be much better of selling yours and buying another one...

Yeah My friend just tore part of the skin off his door I Said DAMN how did that happen he replied he had it flexed got out then when he opened the door back up it ripped and he then said F*** it its just a 4wd

Not as devastating when you put a dent in a 4x4
