Angry big block rocker arms

Hey, i got a new set of full roller rocker arms, that are 1.8:1 ration instead of the normal 1.7:1, and the stock valve covers i know that they are 2 short, but on the number 6 and 3 cylinders the intake rocker is hitting on the back side edge, i have a "new" set of valve covers off of my dads chevelle, that are tall enough but they are hitting on the side as well as the stock one. i am thinking that my only option left is to get our dremel tool out and grind the rocker down as well as the vavle cover. unless any of y'all know any thing else to do...im up for anything.

also never ever by mr. gaskets header gaskets, they are just cheap cardboard pos that will burn up no matter how tight u keep the bolts.

I think when using those type of rocker arms, you need to use the tall version valve covers. The stock OEM valve covers won't work with those rocker arms. Also, with the tall valve covers, you can't use the stock air conditioner brackets if equipped with air and sometimes there is a clearance issue with the pwr. brake booster, I've heard.

You need to buy the 1.7 rockers. Don't grind the head.

the 1.7 is probally the best thing to do but my rocker arms i have now or eating up the top of the valve and these were sitting around. they were going to go onto my dads '70 chevelle but that motor decided to have no oil presure so i got them instead...only option if is the grinder..plus it gives me a tiny bit more lift...not like i have a hard enough time trying to the truck to hook up as it is, and speaking of which, does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to make these things hook up? i got the truck running 14.5s with it braking the tires loose when i shifted it into 2nd and again when i shifted it into 3rd, any help is greatly apriciated!

You might also try a cover shaped like this:

Or this:

It's a little hard to tell from the pictures, but the verticle walls of the covers are moved out on the head, almost in a line with the hold down bolt holes.

WARNING: these covers are NOT CHEAP!! But damn, they look cool!

yeah they do, it still looks like they may hit, i got mine to fit, with some grinding on the valve cover and rocker, and then shoving the valve cover all the way up and then tightning it down...the stop looks to be the best xpt i can't use that tall of valve cover or i hit my alternator and brake booster, got about 2 or 3 inches
