Question Speedo Info

My dad has a '75 C-10 and the speedometer doesn't work. Checked the cable and gear in the trans (TH350) and they are both good. My question is where can I either get it refurbished or where can I get a new one. I've been looking for a while, and all I can find are 77-78 and 79-87 ones. Would one of these work? I know of two differences. One being the newer models have holes in the bottom for idiot lights, and the other being that the 73-76 models went to 100mph, and the newer ones only go to 85.
