all you do is get some1/8inch steel plate and cut it to fit and weld to the open channel of the frame rail, relocate the gas and brake lines and wiring harness to the new frame side grind the weld smooth and paint

If your frame is in bad enough shape that you feel you need to box it to make it safe then it's probably going to be a better idea to just find yourself a straight and solid frame and then start from there.

Don't do it.
Ever notice how your frame will twist when the truck is parked up on a curb or something? Stand behind it and look, the truck will twist when needed. If you box the frame, you stop that part of the frame from flexing torsionally and it will crack at the ends of the boxed area. Instead of being flexible over the length of the truck, there will be stiff areas where it can't tweak. I've been a hot rod junkie for my whole life and seen it plenty of times. If you must box the frame, at least do the whole thing front to back, that way the stresses aren't localized at the end of the boxed areas.
