33's with no lift?

For some reason I think I have heard of ppl running 33's on 15x8's with no problem.
The reason I ask I would love to get rid of those ugly wheels I have on and add the 15x8's I'm getting from Randy. I will be going with a 4in lift someday hopfuly this late summer or early fall after I add a new soft top.
As anyone got by with this? I have seen some of the 2nd gen do it with all most rubbing.
Thanks guys.
