I think they were aftermarket. There aren't many originals around anymore. They have a steel bulkhead that goes below the back of the top & behind the seats. I saw one once for $400 and I believe someone on the board picked it up. They are being made reproduction but I think they are around $1000. http://www.myrodshop.com/blazer.html

I bought that one (thanks to Bouncy!) and it had the bulkhead with it!

Someone on this board had one for $500 but I can't remember who... Might be able to search for it

I'll have to e-mail the guy, do you know if he still does them , bouncytruck?

I'm just worried about the top section, i know about the bulkheads too, and if i found one with a bulkhead, great, but i think that'd be to close to having my cake and eating it too....just dont see myself being that lucky....heh i'd prob end up oaky fabbing. some plywood instead! Anyword on any 4-sale would be sick. I'll keep on keepin and eye out.............

There were two different guys making the half tops. I don't think they got as much response as they thought so I don't know if they are still doing that. I can't remember the link to the other guy's web site, but they were both basically the same and about the same price. I never really inquired about it because I have a roll bar in my '69 and it will interfer with the half top. Soft tops are easier anyway...

To each his/her own,but I just don't get making my blazer look like a pick-up.I took my hard top off years ago and only run soft tops, plus I have a full cage.My dad has a 66 bronco that has a half cap.He almost never uses it because it limits the space in the truck.

I hardly ever use my half cab, but if I had to have a top I can put it on by myself. Try that with the full hard top.

I like the look with or without the half cab, either way my blazer confuses people, it's amazing how many people have never seen a 2wd blazer and think it's been modified from a regular truck...

I wonder if $850.00 buys ya a bulkhead too? then i guess ya have to paint it..... hmmm worth the call though i guess. And yea the attraction is ya can put on and take off a 1/2 cab a heck of a lot esier then a full hard top! plus i want a swb 4x4 pickup....with this i can kinda make my blazer one, and switch back and forth. I'd probably only have it on 3-4 months during winter anyways, and the back of my blazer is all lined anyways. At this point though the soft top looks like a better deal, damn, i really want one of these things[1/2 tops] though!

I like the firetruck Blazer. Where did you get that picture? It looks like something Matchbox would build.

I'm not sure where i found it, that's where stayying up all night online gets ya, i rarely remember where i find my pics. However, if you search "half cab blazer" in Yahoo the link will should come up i believe, there should only be one.

Speaking of matchbox...i lost a auction on ebay that was for a blazer, by matchbox. It's a 69, blue on bottom, silver on top, and a little yellow out board boat on the hard top. There's also a RED one with WHITE top i'd settle for also, but i dont think the detailing is as nice (painted lights, rubber wheels, etc). Not sure, i think they went for around $10...then there's the bigger ertl model blazer, the sheriff one with removable top and light bars!

I bought one of the Matchbox Mallard Acers blazers off e-bay. Nobody else bid on it so I got it for $12.00. I did the same with the Ertl model, I was the only one to bid on it. I go that one for $9.00 and I painted it to match my '69. I need to get another one so I can paint it to match my '72.
