lowering and new front and rear end

what will it cost all around with a 3 inch drop jsut wondering ?

The really cheap way...done for years by lots of old school hot rodders will cost nothing! Cut one coil from front springs and heat the rear springs. Assuming you have a coil spring rear. If you want to "do it right" you can buy new springs for about $200 from great vendors on this board.

Hey stllookn, does the removal of one coil in the front really drop it 3 inches???

Cut 1/2 a coil on a front spring results in a 1" drop, cutting 1 full coil results in a 2" drop, cutting 1 1/2 coils results a 3" drop, if you drop a 67-72 3" in the front with springs only you generally can not get proper front end alignment without the use of off-set upper ball joints, and truck will have problems with bump steer.
We unlike 95% of the suppliers out there do not use the companies that supply cut down truck springs for drop springs, our springs are not the typical cut down springs you get from other suppliers. We have a coil spring manufacturer custom build them to your trucks specs when the order is placed taking into account wheelbase, motor size, transmission, A/C or non-A/C truck, and if its a fleetside or stepside to determine the trucks weight so that these lowered springs are tempered to the optimum spring rate for your truck to provide the very best ride and handling possible when dropping your truck instead of simply cutting a portion of the coils to achieve the drop and not adjusting the spring rate for a lowered vehicle to also improve handling & ride.*
So if you want the Best come see us!! If you want what the others carry just cut the amount of coil off your current springs as described above.
